I’ve been an enthusiastic fell walker and photographer for over 40 years. I enjoy the solitude and slow pace of walking in remote or secluded places. It gives me time to see, reflect, absorb, and be inspired by primeval and unspoilt scenery. I enjoy the ‘secret’ places, reserved exclusively for those who wander from the trodden way.
This Blog is a random record of my journey/struggle as a photographer (with the odd diversion into mathematical programming). I try to describe what went through my mind as I composed the shot, why I took it, and the post capture processing I had to perform to achieve my vision.
Where possible posts include links that enable the interested photographer/walker, to download the appropriate walking trail to their GPS so that they can explore for themselves the locations of my photo shoots. I hope some of you will then share your experiences with me.
